Mental Health America of Spartanburg County and the 2021 Educational Series present for July… “Queer Communities 101: Basics to be More Inclusive in Clinical Practice” by M. Evan Thomas, PhD, LMFTA, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Assistant Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy and Chair of the Marriage and Family Program at Converse University.

This presentation is a collaborative discussion on queer communities and current best practices. The presenter reviews how therapists can work with this community and ways that they can understand any stigma that they may have. Participants should walk away with a better understanding of the queer community and resources available in the upstate – as well as knowing more about themselves too.
